STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS WITH MINISTRIES, DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES (MDAS)

The Strategic Engagement Sessions with MDAs on the PPP web disclosure portal took place on the 15th and 16th of November. In attendance were delegates from the ICRC and Various MDAs as well as consultants from the World Bank Group (Public Private Partnerships)

The Engagement sessions were interactive and enlightening .The outcomes of the engagement included a resolve to ensure smooth flow of information between the MDAs and ICRC. This will ensure the Web Portal remains a dynamic.

According to the acting Director-General of the ICRC, Engr. Chidi Izuwah, the disclosure exercise supports President Mohammadu Buhari’s effort at institutionalizing transparency and accountability in the procurement of PPP projects in Nigeria. The ICRC, the contracting authority, and the private party to the contract will share equally, the responsibility for generating information concerning PPP projects and ensure same is uploaded to the platform. Information will be uploaded by the contracting authority and ICRC after redacting confidential information.
